The song features tense verses, where the hero deals with trials and hardship, balanced with a hopeful chorus, where the hero imagines an "oasis in my mind" where all distracting, bad, and unimportant things beyond our control are forgotten. The last chorus leaves us with a powerful sense of impending victory, as if the oasis suddenly comes into view! I wrote this song on guitar and it features my signature "wall of sound" vocals in the choruses and a really cool bridge and lead. I hope you love it as much as I loved creating it. I'm so excited about this song! I wrote it in the early days when I first moved to Boston, just starting grad school, trying to stay faithful to my long-distance girlfriend, fall turning to winter, and the constant excitement and...stimulation, if you will, of "slipless situations" distracting me from "what that moment in time at the end of the line" would reveal.
